What the BSF does

The BSF supports discovery of the correct PCF for a session by storing binding information.

Why binding matters

External or application-related requests need to reach the policy function responsible for the relevant session rather than an arbitrary PCF instance.

Slicing relevance

In multi-instance, multi-slice environments, correct binding helps keep policy actions associated with the right session context.
