Operator profile

Orange network slicing readiness

How to verify Orange 5G Standalone, device support, slice entitlement and commercial service readiness.

What this profile does

This page provides a structured assessment framework for Orange in Europe and international. It does not state that a particular commercial slicing product is available unless that claim is separately verified and dated.

Five questions to verify

  1. Is 5G Standalone available at the required sites?
  2. Does the service support the relevant device and modem?
  3. How is slice entitlement provisioned on the SIM or eSIM?
  4. Which performance measures are contractual?
  5. How are faults, roaming and fallback handled?

Evidence to request

Ask for a dated service description, coverage evidence, supported-device list, provisioning workflow, architecture diagram, test plan, operational support model and SLA measurement method.

Do not confuse these products

Private APNs, VPNs, traffic prioritisation, dedicated internet access, private 5G and network slicing may solve overlapping problems, but they are not interchangeable. Procurement documents should require the supplier to identify the actual mechanism.

Profile status

Verification required: operator offers change by market, customer segment, device, contract and date. Confirm directly with the operator before relying on this profile for procurement.
